IRCA Approved Lead Auditor Courses

How to become an IRCA Lead Auditor?

To qualify, you must have successfully completed one of the following:
– An IRCA Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor course, or
– A relevant IRCA Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor conversion course (if you are an Auditor/Lead Auditor in another scheme)

To meet the Auditor grade requirements, you must also:

  1. Have conducted three full management system audits as the leader of an audit team.
  2. Accumulate a minimum of 15 days in total for these audits.
  3. Spend a minimum of 10 days on-site during these audits.

These audits must meet the following criteria:

  • Conducted after passing an IRCA Certified Training Course.
  • Completed within 5 years of the date of application.

Please note that while surveillance (partial system) audits may be accepted for Auditor/Lead Auditor initial certification or regrade, it is your responsibility to demonstrate the depth and breadth of your skills and knowledge. Surveillance audits can confirm competence but may not be considered sufficient evidence on their own.

Some IRCA schemes may have additional work experience requirements. Contact us to learn more!
